We aimed to release 1-2 articles a week through 2023 and for the most parts, this goal was reached. There was a few bigger gaps in the latter part of the year, which was in part caused by us working on bigger articles that we didn't want to rush out the door and in parts life catching up to us outside of this siteGrowth
2023 might not has been as magical growth wise as 2022, but we have also done multiple changes since then that also explain the difference. In 2022 we did daily articles, where a lot where news related and that was not an area we wanted to focus on. Not that we have closed our doors on news forever, but we have no immediate plans to return to news on a regular basis. Not to mentioned that the world has also changes a lot, as more people are venturing out of their homes again and is not just sitting at homeWe also improved our site, so that web crawlers easier can detected that a certain page is the same page by using the canonical declaration. Where we afterwards saw a quite substantial drop in daily readers, as search engines correctly categories our pages as one and removed a lot of duplicates, which was attracting decent amount of views
We don't regret our decision on any of the changes and with that in mind, visitors through 2023 was fairly stable for a decent part of the year and the later part of the year, we have seen a steady growth
Looking forward
In the year to come, we will continue to evolve the site and it's contentRelease schedule
We don't have any set release schedule planned for 2024, but we have multiple articles in the pipelinePlan is to continue to evolve the site, to make it easier to find content you want to read and have more timeless content. Which is also reflected in which articles are most popular on our site
So 2024 might bring a decrease in volume of articles published, but we in return wish to publish better and more interesting content. That has value for a longer time, such as guides on how to do something and reviews of products you might be interested in
